Prologue to the 4th chapter of Chemistry Class! This prologue features Cassie and Terry’s relationship before the serum, and how Cassie ended up becoming what she is in the present story. How was she influenced, if at all? Why does she believe that she deserved the tragedy that happened to her? Was it self inflicted, someone’s fault, or maybe just an accident?

Yes! Good, there is weight to the decision! After page 14 I was scared for a moment how she would throw away her relationship with Alex away without a second thought just because he didn’t show up there. That would have felt very easy. This feels a lot more emotional sound and like that before was she trying to argue for why what she doing now is okay. Love it!

This one is titled “Prologue to Chem Class 4” instead of a prologue to Chem Class 1 which it’s set during (sort of a “Chem Class Zero”) — will there be a direct tie in to the end of chem class 3 in this one? A flash to the present situation?

If this is a back story why does she look older now. It breaks the illusion of time passage that I really like in this story

Of course, you can take as much time as you want—but prove me wrong. I’m willing to bet that a lot of people are waiting for this story to finally move forward. Lately, however, I’ve increasingly gotten the impression that the peoples are simply being strung along to squeeze more money out of them, while being fed a largely irrelevant backstory that adds very little of substance.
